I always feel bad for Rarity in this episode. I've just got a little further to go on several projects of my own to be done in the next 24 hours and I can easily share her stress. I'm glad things ended up going so well for her in the end (save for the 12 of each order to be filled by the next Tuesday. Ouch!)
This is literally why I'm sometimes scared to ask for commissions from people. I know I'm paying for a service, and providing money is that appropriate trade off for that service. But still worried I'm pestering or bothering the artist with my stupid requests. And only ONCE have I ever disliked the result so much I complained, but I don' think he cared at all about the job.
I actually do this pretty often (cater to my friends), but it doesn't stress me out so much as it nukes my odds of completing everything that I need to handle for my own life. Ah well, at least it hasn't driven me to wallow in...whatever it is ponies are supposed to wallow in.
Poor Rarity. That episode is not one of my favorites, but I still like to watch it because it shows me that even best of friends can be totally thoughtless and critical toward each other. Rarity was so generous, and the others weren't satisfied with her professional work.
Of course, I also like to watch the episode because of Art of the Dress. That song is awesome.
I like how you made the texts and crammed them so close together. Rarity looks exactly right.
At first, I as really confused about Rainbow Dash's text. I thought is was a bunch of different ponies talking and phrases jumbling together, then I saw '20% cooler' and I'm all like, "Oh wait that's Rainbow Dash. Durrrr." I like the colored text strategy for what everypony's saying, great job!
The only thing I would've changed would've been to leave a little more space at the top of the picture, so that the text didn't look all scrunched together in such a tiny space. I almost mistook Fluttershy's line with Rainbow Dash's at first glance.
That aside, I love it. She probably does have nightmares about that stuff. Poor Rarity...
